Natural Home Remedies For Indigestion
Another name for an upset stomach is Indigestion. It is also known as dyspepsia, Indigestion commonly occur when people eat too much, too fast. If you are feeling pain and discomfort in the upper abdomen or chest after taking large meals, that term is known as Indigestion. It is sometimes caused by nausea, abdominal bloating, belching, and sometimes vomiting. If you are feeling burning in the chest, this term is known as heartburn.
Causes of Indigestion
- If you have any disease in the digestive tract, then it might be caused Indigestion. If you are eating too much, eating too quickly, eating high-fat foods, or eating during stressful situations, then it may also caused Indigestion.
- If you are using certain medications and Smoking, drinking too much alcohol irritate the stomach lining, can also cause indigestion.
- If you are taking certain drugs such as including antibiotics, aspirin, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It can caused Indigestion.
- If you are eating foods that directly irritate the lining of the oesophagus, such as incliding coffee and tomatoes.
Home Remedies for Indigestion
- If you want to prevent acid indigestion, then mix a tablespoon of lemon juice or cider vinegar in a cup of hot water before taking a meal.
- You can also used oil for indigestion. Add three drops of garlic oil to an half a cup of soya oil and rub onto the stomach after food. It is also beneficial for indigestion.
- You should be taken 1 tsp each of mint juice, lemon juice, and honey.
- An effective medicine for indigestion is fresh juice of curry leaves, with lime juice and sugar.
- When you feel indigestion coming, then you should drink by mixing equal parts of baking soda and water in a glass.
- You should be eaten half a teaspoon of aniseed to improve digestion.
- You should be avoid large meals, take small and frequent meals. You should drink herbal tea. Avoid tea, coffee and other drinks that contain caffeine. You should also avoid hot spicy and fatty foods.
- You can also take equal amounts of ginger powder, black pepper, dried mint leaves, asafetida (hing), anise seeds, coriander seeds, cumin, fennel and common salt. Grind together to make a fine powder. You should be taken 1 teaspoon of this powder with water, twice a day after meals.
- If you want to improve indigestion, then you should drink buttermilk after a meal.
