Natural Home Remedies For Itching

Itching is an uncomfortable sensation in the skin that feels as something is crawling on the skin or in the skin. Itching is a peculiar tingling or uneasy irritation of the skin that causes a desire to scratch the affected area. Itching is also known as pruritus. Itching may occur over your whole body or only in a particular location. Anal itching may occur due to the irritation of the skin at the exit of the rectum. It is also known as anus. Mostly the anal itching occur due to moisture, pressure, and abrasion caused by clothing and sitting. Anal itching causes intolerable discomfort that often is described as burning and soreness.

Causes of Itching

  • Itching may occur due to chemical irritants such as including detergents, fabric softeners, feminine sprays, ointments, creams, douches, and contraceptive foams or jellies.
  • If you have skin infections such as including folliculitis and impetigo, it can also caused itching.
  • If you are taking certain drugs such as including antibiotics (penicillin, sulfonamides), gold, griseofulvin, isoniazid, opiates, phenothiazines, it may also caused itching.
  • If you have any skin conditions such as including eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus and rosacea. It can also caused itching.
  • Itching may also caused by a tiny mite (scabies).

Home Remedies for Itching

  • You should avoid eating refined carbohydrates, sugar and food items that contain yeasts.
  • You should also avoid alcohol because it eventually converts to sugar. Your diet must contain a lot of raw fruits and vegetables.
  • Avoid greasy, fried and processed foods. You should apply honey and garlic alternatively on the infected skin.
  • You should be used vitamin E oil on affected area, it is also effective.
  • You can also used cod liver oil or Aloe Vera to the affected area, it is also beneficial for itching.
  • If you want to get relief from itching peppermint, bath is highly beneficial.
  • You can also used coconut oil for the affected area. Cover the affected area with a light paste of coconut oil and limejuice.
  • Neem is also an effective remedy for all types of skin problems. Neem oil to the affected areas gives relief from itching.
